About this event
On our virtual walking tour, we'll discover, live, the striking evolution of Cardiff Bay. Let's explore the area where coal dockers once toiled, now home to the Wales Millennium Centre's distinctive copper dome and the Senedd, seat of the Welsh Parliament. We'll learn about the engineering marvel of the Cardiff Bay Barrage, which created a freshwater lake from the former tidal bay, and visit local landmarks that tell the story of Cardiff's maritime heritage and discuss how this area's transformation reflects Wales's journey from industrial powerhouse to modern cultural capital.
